About us

CBS (Midlands) Ltd opened with the goal of supplying quality, innovative and technical products covering Door Hardware, Window Hardware, Locks and much more; locally and across the UK.

We opened our doors in May 1990 taking residence within an old glove factory located on what was formerly known as Turnpike Road, now Stourbridge Road. The building dates back to the late 19th century and even holds some family history. In the mid 1950’s the building was taken over by Chas. E Webster Limited who operated as a builder’s & plumber’s merchant.

In August 2013 CBS (Midlands) Ltd was purchased by our current Managing Director Steve Jukes. Steve has worked in the Ironmongery trade since he was 16 years old. Since the purchase of the business, we’ve grown in many ways including a complete re-fit of the trade counter letting us better utilise our space increasing our counter space, showroom and warehouse. Our list of services has also grown letting us provide a locksmithing service, key cutting and UPVC door & window products thanks to our in-house UPVC Specialist.

We open to both members of the trade and the public. Our customer base is varied and includes Main Contractors, Joinery Contractors, Carpenters, Schools, Hospitals and Locksmiths to name a few.

We offer our scheduling service to Architects and Contractors, with help from our three fully qualified GAI (Guild of Architectural Ironmongery) members; meaning you’ll be certain you have the right Ironmongery for any project. We ensure that the right products are chosen for any situation taking into consideration building regulations, fire regulations and current guidance when creating any ironmongery schedule. To make it easier for you we also provide door by door packs as standard, at no additional cost. We ensure each door pack is clearly documented with the door number helping keep the installation process as streamlined as possible.
